Quality, Catholic Education for Pre-K through Grade 8
Mother Seton School continues to integrate technology into all grades and in all areas of curriculum so that our students are prepared to be successful in our increasingly dynamic digital world.
Students in grades 2-8 will use laptops and Chromebooks during subjects at the teacher’s discretion allowing for a 1:1 technology experience. These are made available via a mobile laptop cart that teachers can sign out as needed.
All classrooms have a wireless interactive projector that allows teachers and students to collaborate in new and engaging ways. Whiteboards become an interactive display that operates much like a tablet, but with the capability to allow multiple students to use it at one time. They add a tactile experience to the learning environment, encouraging students to become more active participants in learning.
Weekly classes are scheduled for computer and technology instruction with our Technology teacher in our computer lab. Students learn how to navigate the computer, use common applications, use the internet for research and learning, and practice typing skills. Special instruction is also designed to teach students about computer and internet safety and protocols. Students sign an agreement annually to abide by computer and internet policies of Mother Seton School.
In Middle School, students no longer attend weekly classes in the computer lab, but have technology integrated throughout their classes. Students sign an agreement annually to abide by computer and internet policies of Mother Seton School.
